I've read all of Linda Rawlings books in this series now and enjoyed each one. They are different, The main characters are a trauma surgeon/medical examiner and a Catholic Priest. Obviously, no sexual content, but there is a romance involved along with their duties and obligations that add to the story. I enjoy the Bible quotes that are included and the description of the Mass and rites as well. It has it murder and mystery and exciting cliff hangers, sometimes literal. The development of characters and the strong bonds that they have along with the different tragic background stories is interesting, everyone has their story. But they hang together for mutual benefit.

Sacred Gold is the third book in this series and of course it answered all the questions from the first two books. Could not put it down and was sorry when I finished it. If you enjoy reading or just want to start get the Rocky Meadow Mysteries. You will love all the characters. I said this before and will say it again, this could be a Lifetime Movie.
Sacred Gold is a captivating tale of romance, murder and adventure. It can be described as Indiana Jones meets The Godfather. Many of the characters find themselves tangled in a web of clues, secrets and danger as they seek solace from their life's tribulations at St Francis Retreat House in Rocky Meadow Vermont. The descriptive talent of the authors paints a picture that makes the reader feel as if they are right there in the pages of the book with the characters. The infusion of Italian phrases throughout the text adds cultural flair. I can't wait to start the other books in the Rocky Meadow Mysteries Series!!
Another good book. Would recommend this book to family and friends. Sure there is another book in the series. Can't wait for it to come out.
This was a very good book. It had lots of twists and turns which kept me guessing until the very end. I love this author and this series. Looking foward to many more.
In Sacred Gold, the author takes us from the luxury of Manhattan to the glamour of Italy to our beloved Rocky Meadow, Vermont and St. Francis Retreat House. She weaves the legend of a king's gold into a very believable, action packed thriller! I was hooked from the moonlit first page and left breathless by the ending. The scenes in the catacombs had me on the edge of my seat. I greatly enjoyed the contributions made by Krista Liotti, who really brought the Italian characters and locations to life. I hope she will collaborate on future books in this series and eagerly anticipate their next adventure.

I feel bad for Linda Rawlins, because she couldn't possibly write these books quick enough to keep me happy. I am so in love with her characters, and so disappointed when I get to the last page, because I know it will be many months before I can get more of Father Michael and Dr. Amy.

Since many of the other reviewers have given you a recap of this book, I will not rehash it again in this review. Just know this, like most of you, I have a very busy life; and there are so many books out there I want to read, and in all my life I have only done this with one other book, but I have actually reread each of her books.

So Ms. Rawlins, I hope you are diligently working on number four, so my addiction can be fed.
In book three of the Rocky Meadow Mystery Series, Dr. Amy, Father Michael and the rest of the crew are on a mission to locate a mysterious gold cross before it falls into greedy, sinister hands. The intriguing plot and endearing characters makes Sacred Gold a compelling read, though I would suggest reading The Bench and Fatal Breach first to familiarize yourself with the characters and storyline.
Hopefully author Linda Rawlins will pen a fourth book in this engaging series.
